ParticipantThanks for all your help.
Have given up on it now- Good job I got it for nothing!
Have just ordered a brand new machine.
Not a Hotpoint I hasten to add!fluffyoide
ParticipantHi, left the pcb to dry out overnight and now the only light that comes on is the on/off switch!
Nothing else happens apart from the ‘dry’ light flashing when put on M.
Do you have any ideas?!fluffyoide
ParticipantSo I guess what we have to do now is call someone out!
Is this connected in any way to our original problem or are we just doomed with this machine?!fluffyoide
ParticipantIt’s light number 4 flashing slowly and the power light too but faster.
Thanks very much for all your help. Will have another look at it tomorrow!fluffyoide
ParticipantIt is but not as fast as the water coming out of the other hoses.
There are two grey hoses, one for the filter under the dryer manifold and the other goes directly to the back of the drum.
We have disconnected both grey hoses one at a time and started a drying cycle.
We found the water going into the filter was about mains pressure and we also found that the water entering the drum was about a tenth of the pressure of the filter hose.
Could this be our problem?fluffyoide
ParticipantNo we’ve already had the filter out and checked it as well as the pump. That’s why we’re so baffled!

ParticipantHi, thanks for getting back so quickly. We have checked everything in the machine and they all seemed fine. It has a 4 way valve. The problem happens with next to nothing in it. We now have the time saver light and the power light flashing. The thermostat keeps tripping too. Do you know what could be the problem?!
