With our cooker we only have a switch not a switch with the socket, so i can’t check the power. However, the small oven still works perfectly and the light on the switch still comes on.

When the initial bang noise happened with the Main Oven, could that have been the thermal cutout exploding ?

Yes i have checked it, there is nothing wrong with the terminal box at the back of the unit.
