    Just a quick update to let you know the fan motor arrived today (first class post) & was very easy to fit. Looks like I’ll be having Christmas Dinner after all!

    Thanks for your advice & the excellent online spares order service. The fan motor cost me just 33.90 (inc. delivery). I saved on the cost of having to calling out an engineer & at the same time feel proud of my achievement. Only trouble is the missus is now putting me to work on other DIY jobs!

    The model No. quoted was from a Smeg sticker on top of the oven casing. It’s actually a White-Westinghouse oven. Their Owners Guide also quotes the model No. as 05-203105. I think the prefix just refers to the finish (stainless steel). Is this of any more help in identifying the motor?

    What are the chances of getting this fixed in time for my Christmas dinner?
