    Thank you very much.

When you say to access from the lower front cover do you mean that the kicker board under the door is removable, and that once removed I can twist the pump off? I can’t see how that kicker board would come off.

Or do I have to tip it on its back and access the pump that way?

    Thank you.

I have noticed that when I start a cycle there is just a very quiet buzzing sound. Would I be right in thinking that the drain pump should be going around at this stage, and that I should be able to hear it?

Any idea how I can reach the drain pump?

The machine did a cycle all the way to “dry”, that was when I noticed the puddles on the kitchen floor!

I then found out that the drain hose had a huge crack and was leaking badly. Is it a big job to replace the drain hose, it seems to clip in somehow? Could a smaller leak in the drain hose have caused the problem in the first place?

Many thanks for you advice and guidance.

I tried removing the big square stainless steel filter at the bottom of the internal compartment, then stuck a towel down the two-inch diameter hole underneath that was exposed. The towel soaked up some water. When I switch the machine on it went straight back to that noise that sounds like the pump.

Then I did something like you advise above before reading your advice: (1) plug out; (2) shut of water feed at the tap; (3) remove water feed hose and disconnect drain house. I had to do this to get the machine out far enough to investigate; (3) tipped it sideways in both directions slowly, quite lot of water came out; (4) plugged in the mains electricity, the lights on the front came on in a normal way and the noise of the pump did not happen. I don’t want to try a test cycle because the water feed and drain hoses are disconnected.

Seems to me that it might be temporarily fixed? Or if there is no major leak then fixed for quite a while?

Thank you. How do I access that area?
