Hi Dave, Thanks!

Hmmm… I could change all the electrolytic capacitors on the board, without too much trouble, and get another transformer. There are a couple of what look like ballast capacitors (?) down by the compressors. Could they be faulty too and cause the transformer to melt?

My problem is I have that very dangerous thing – a little knowledge! But I would like to fix it if I can, otherwise it is a trip to the shops and a new one, anything like this, is going top cost a King’s ransom.
