    Hi still sounds like a system fault to me, ice at the TOP of the fridge ?

    hi john, do you mean low enough temp?
    have you got it in a cold garage, this could be your problem.

    hi, thank you for your concern, yes i know it will not be easy, any help or advice will be appreciated, so no rose tinted glasses, just reading glasses.
    with regard to cheap machines, yes i wear chinese clothes to work, use chinese tools to repair chinese machines, just need chinese van to complete the set. what is the answer ?

    Hi, i think you mean the compressor, and i think you need a new one, best buy a new freezer.

    hi sounds like DLO, door left open. Switch it off for a few days, then restart.

    Hi all, yes yet another soon to be ex EAC engineer here, yes we have been treated very poor, stat min redundancy pay, chance to buy high milage vans for more than market value, and clapped out tools for £400.
    Yes i will try the self employed route also, but from what i have read am i missing something? Other members state that there is no market for one trick ponies, and that they want multi talented engineers.
    I have with EAC and Bejam (yes i am that old) repaired washers, d/washers. t/driers, m/waves, electric cookers, induction hobs,cooker hoods, and yes just a few fridges and freezers. what more makes you multiskilled?
