Re: Vent Tumble Dryer through Chimney

    Thanks for your advice PMB.
I think I will buy a vented dryer and get someone to put the 4 inch hole through the wall with fly guard etc.

Condensor would be easier, just plug & go but so many people have had problems that I will opt for the vented.

    Thanks guys

Re: Vent Tumble Dryer through Chimney

Thanks Penguin45 – If I bought a good Miele, Bosch or AEG condensing tumble dryer, how would these compare to a good vented tumble dryer?

I assume the drying time is much quicker with a vented dryer?

At a push, I could vent via an outside wall by drilling a hole etc.
but if a condensor works very well Ill go for this option instead.

    Re: TESCO Stock Problem

    Don,

Canceled my order with Tesco, no problem, took seconds.
A local dealer had the exact same fridge freezer but it was £100 more expensive. They gave a good warranty, delivered and installed within 3 days and best of all – they took the old fridge freezer away (which Tesco would not do).

Taking into consideration the delivery, installation and old fridge freezer removal I would have saved approx £30 by going to Tesco, but I got it months earlier. Makes sense to go local…….

My only problem is setting the correct temperature on these digital displays. What temp do you suggest for Fridge and Freezer?

Many thanks and a happy ending………………..

    Don,

I cannot agree with you more on this subject and will be looking around this weekend. I have always bought from specialist retailers but thought I would give Tesco a try as I could save a few pennies. All I have received is an ear bashing from the wife. Never again……
    Sorry Tesco, another customer lost!

    Re: condensation on glass shelves

    Tom,

My folks had the same problem on their Hotpoint.
Inside the fridge at the back there is a hole that takes away excess water which should be kept clean and unblocked.

Well the water is supposed to drain onto the compressor and evaporate away. Turns out the compressor was generating too much heat which passed up the pipe, through the hole and caused the condensation.

Do not know how to fix the problem as the fridge was replaced with a different model…..!
