Re: BEKO CG 964 COMPRESSOR RUNNING

    Welcome to the club.
I suspect your fridge, like mine, has run low on gas.
I ran mine for months on a timer to avoid the fridge section freezing solid.
Meanwhile I tried all sorts. New board etc.

Eventually I gave in and bought another.

They last 2 years. Just after the warranty runs out.

Beko seem to be good at designing their compressors to leak gas/fail just outside the warranty.

I wonder how much testing they had to do to get it just right. Putting in just the right amount of gas.

Then when you find the warranty, it’s run out.

Happened to me with my Lamona. Day perfect. Apart from it going wrong it was a nice fridge.

    They last two years.

    Re: Freezing fridge

The copper pipe ends are short and crimped/soldered/welded/brazed.

I wouldn’t have thought that they could be re-accessed?
And in any case the original leak will still be there somewhere.

I reckon on buying a new Beko. It will grate but I will save money and hey – it might last longer than the first one.

And the best bit? – Since it is an integrated unit it is hidden until you open the door. I shall print off some Neff labels to stick onto the odd drawer or panel. How cool is that!!
