Re: Siemens IQ700 clean filter symbol

I still havent got round to making the call. However I was looking again at my problem and it’s exactly the same as this chap’s in this youtube vid…

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvrAlAqICIQ

His comes apart the same as mine, except that the pump unit (if you go to 1:08 in the vid) is covered by a big plastic cover and the white pipe goes off somewhere in the middle, whereas his black pipe and white one go to the same place.

I’m not sure about taking the rest of it apart now until i got some affirmative that i’m on the right track. Is there an instruction manual for getting to that part? is the left hand side of the dryer the right side to be taking off?

no, not quite ready for the tip yet.

Since putting the front back on, it’s started to work again. 3 loads down the road and we’re still good.

crossing my fingers for another 7 years.

ready for the tip i think. As you can see from the date this thread started 2007 we’ve had it for quite a long time (about 9 years).

Cost of repair plus the hassle doesnt sound like its worth getting fixed.

what else could i be looking at? Wash cycle not finishing. Rinsing for ever, then it gives up, says it’s finished (zeros on the display) and the stuff is still wet inside.

These relays dont look burnt. The capacitors haven’t blown either.

hmm. cleaned the fluff filters spotlessly. went though full cycle.

Wonder if that was a fluke,

I spoke to soon, its not fixed. 🙁

There is heat i.e. the water gets hot but the cycle is getting stuck on rinse. if i press the power off and then on again the timer will show 39 minutes again. sometimes when i do this it continues through to the end of the cycle and dry the the contents.

fluff filter isnt spotless but its not overloaded with fluff. the fluff filter has a different symbol to the condenser filter. I’ll do it anyway.

For BSH do I use this web page:

Re: Bosch SGS56E02GB/47 no heat and wont finish cycle

incredibly, after taking the side off, taking the bit out that has the microswitches, giving it all a good wash (not the electrical parts), plugging it all back in, its all working again.

They were not blocked or anything, but whatever was the problem, it’s fixed again.

Re: Bosch SGS56E02GB/47 no heat and wont finish cycle

opening an old thread as it’s the same dishwasher (model is the same as the OP’s)….it just started working again after we left it switched off and unplugged for about a month. Right before we were going to dump it back in 2007 we tried it one more time. It’s been working ever since. Until now that is.

I’ve had the side off cleaned it all out but it refuses to move through the cycle. It seems to get stuck in Washing mode. Then it’ll get to rinse after an age and there it will stay with the timer saying 001 (which is the error code from what i can gather, rather than time left).
