    Re: help with fridge freezer

Just a quick update, received the PCB this morning, whacked it in and it was quiet, nothing……. and then bosh! the fridge started up, so so far so good, still wary until I have at least a couple of days of proper good coldness, then my fridge wont look like a bachelors fridge (beer and strangely enough some broccoli) and ill restock it

I just wanted to say a massive thank you for Bob and everyone else who helped out on this, I owe you a large virtual pint or two!!!!

    Thanks chaps!

    Re: help with fridge freezer

Just taken the white box cover off to check the PCB, unscrewed the PCB away from the frame and plugged the freezer back in and it started up, I know I am not out of the water on this yet but im guessing the fridge is getting to a certain cold temp and then kicking off, once it gets warm (enough to defrost the ice boxes in the freezer) it seems to kick back in, obviously this is no good for food. Now even more confused!

    Re: help with fridge freezer

    Hi Bob
So what PCB would I need to change, the main one as you just mentioned or the one under the light fitting.
Do you think this will solve the problem or am I just throwing good money at something which could be put towards getting a new freezer?
Really appreciate your help with this as I have looked at numerous places over the net and its all now become a bit confusing 🙂

    Re: help with fridge freezer

    Hi there
Thank you for your answers, I am not sure whether my fridge freezer would be effected as the serial starts with 09 so produced in 2009.

I am not sure if it has a electronic timer, how would I check this?
Also is the theromstat the small PCB located under the light panel in the fridge, I could replace this but not sure where the timer is located
