Hi All
Update…..
I’m very happy to advise that the replacement pump motor did the trick. The washing machine is happy again!
Many thanks Penguin45 for all your help, it is greatly appreciated!

Thanks Penguin45.
I had a closer look at the machine last night after work. It seems the machine is happier when operating from a cold start when pumping water. Then becomes uncooperative after a few minutes of operation. So I took the small front inspection panel off the machine to look inside.
What I observed after a number of machine turn-on/turn-off/wait for it to cool down cycles was the water pump gets hot. Too hot to touch for more than a couple of seconds and the pump stops operating after running for more than say about 10-20 seconds, even though it should still be running based on function the machine is performing (eg rinse/ spin). I don’t know how hot the pump is supposed to get during normal operation. So while it may seem to me that the pump needs replacing, I might be barking up the wrong tree.
Any thoughts…. should the pump become as hot as I described. If a hot pump is abnormal and requires replacement, how do I access it (eg lay the machine front side down onto the floor and replace the pump from the underside of the machine). Are there any special techniques I must observe, or is it simply remove pump mounting screws => remove pump => fit new pump => fit pump mounting screws?
If the heat is normal any ideas where too from here?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Penguin45,
Thanks for your reply..
I have tried switching the machine off at the power source to let it “rest” for a while (5-10mins). However, the problem repeats when power is restored.
I’m not sure which manual you are referring to for directions to enter diagnostics and turn off the auto restart facilility. The only manual I recieved with the machine is a simple user-manual. It does not refer to dianostics.
Could you please provide me with direction on how to enter/use diagnostics?
edit: sorry, I saw the sticky after my reply which advises how to enter the diagnostic mode, but I dont know how to turn off the auto restart facility.
