Dave, there was element that couldn’t be remove from inside the dishwasher so I had no choice. I always dried the dishwasher before doing the pump removal from bottom. Never flooded near the wire. Not even the floor receive water during any of my trials.

At the bottom of the dishwasher there is a white conical pump. I removed it to clean and then put it back with the gasket. Everything is leakproof since the first intervention.

Smart idea. I checked, there is none. And the noise from the beep is too “loud” to be normal. 🙂
