Excellent advice mate! Cheers!
It was a small button, incidentally exactlyu the same size as a 5p, odged into the exit pipe where it joined onto the fitting that screws under the sink. I didnt see it when I checked out under the sink because its about 3″ into the pipe where the internal diameter is reduced for the fitting to go inside the pipe.
Thanks so much mate, its very much appreciated.

Hahahahahaha … I will indeed bear that in mind … These fitters worked for Barratt Homestoo, so the chances are they are only on day release from “down there” anyway!
I will drag the thing out tomorrow, thanks for your help mate.

Wow! Thanks for such a fast response!
The machine has been in heavy daily use for 8 months and this is the first time its not worked. I have just checked the fittings going into the trap under the sink and its all clean and clear.
Is it accessible for me to get to the outlet tube to check/clear it?
Sorry for asking so many questions, I really appreciate your help.
Cheers
