    Re: Samsung RSH1DTMH Fridge Freezer

Indeed, the drain hole was frozen solid hence the water overspill into the fridge area – thanks for that !

I cleared this out using the trusty hair dryer and then checked the rear to ensure the exit pipelines were clear, this was proven to be slowly clearing as I could feel the defrosting water as it dripped through. After a while I then ran some hot water through from the inside and saw it complete it’s journey through to the back and into the tray, I know this drain route is now clear… (for how long?) All reassembled and watching with interest.

Which parts will need to be replaced if this re-occurs ?

I mentioned in my first post about how I’d followed some instructions (hold two keys for 17 secs) and changed some defrost settings, as the unit was unplugged today (1.5 hours maybe) would this reset or would it hold my altered values as suggested by the engineer on youtube?
Does anyone know the default values for this defrost option, then I could try a mid way selection to see if it helps .

    Thanks

Hi, yes there was ice build up of which I’ve cleared and moved the sensor over from R to L hand side. I altered the settings as suggested within his video and now I’m finding tiny pools of water where the defrost settings have been altered. Previously only had ice build up and no tiny pools of water.

I will be opening the back again later today to see if any new ice build up and will check drain hole as suggested by another member.

Can you suggest alternative settings ?

    Thanks
