I think I’ll put an impeller kit in as well then. Quite odd that this should go as the machine is only 2 1/2 years old and not used very much (as I say installed in a holiday home). I have been careful to use the function to pump it out to prevent frost damage in the winter, perhaps we should do this after every time someone visits to prevent anything being left in the sump.

Is it normal practise to install these seals with some silicone grease or anything else of that nature?

I’ll pull the motor off tomorrow and clean it up at work to check that it is still servicable.
