    Re: SAMSUNG ?????

    Hi Jim
    The correct model is B1245S.
The SE is actually 5E and means that there is a drain error.

Also when the machine is plugged in there are lights on.

Thats what I meant, however you have lost me now because you said fault was dead, but now there are lights on 😕

I did all the checks i thought i could and this is the best way i can desctibe the state of the machine:
    nothing blocking in the trap
propellar thing leading to trap moves with varying resistance.
drum spins – with a bit of resistance ~(same as before)
when try to start normal cycle lights come on, machine fills (and appears to heat water too) , then when would expect drum to start turning just hear click click noises.

I would check the carbon brushes in the motor in that case for starters 😀
With appliance un-plugged of course :plug:

I wouldn’t think so, a Bosch part is a Bosch part, its only the assembling location that has changed.

    Hi
Before jumping the gun, has the socket been checked with another product, say a lamp, just to see if you are getting a feed.
Have you checked the fuse in the plug? (13Amp)
The module part is app £110 +VAT 😕 and providing the drum bearings are sound and the motor is ok, IMHO it worth repairing as this machine is quite a better build than some of the newer models and is more substantial.
Module is available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk p/no 268543 if so required, but can be tricky to fit.
Have you tried looking for an engineer from the link below also,as they most of them are quite knowledgable on the Bosch appliances 😀

    Hi Phil
AFAIR it comes with fixing kit, but to be safe I would order the kit, app £12+VAT 059132

    Hi
Im sure 24 hours is sufficient for a defrost on this domestic appliance.
Also, If you are an engineer in the trade, then you will need to gain access from site admin 😉

    Hi
Have a look around the door inner or failing that have a look on the back of the appliance at the top near the power cable entry.

I would imagine that the £70 would be to install to original wiring etc. Hopefully they have that clause in there or it could prove to be an expensive lesson for them 🙂
