Like Penguin said its probably a leak in the drip tray, probably evaporates and allows flood float to lower for a few uses then off it goes again.

Check l/h side uplift pipe which is connected from top of inline heater. This plastic pipe wears where it enters top of tank and leaks and overflows from top of tank to base in a stream, tell tale signs will be apparent.

2 screws hold top fascia, remove;and PCB is the one horizontally situated facing you. It just pulls out , no wire 😀

I noticed one wire looks like it has come off of one of the spade terminals and the other seems to have been rubbing on something, any suggestions?

It only seems to have rubbed on the plastic surrounding the female connection on the one that stayed on. I dont see any rubbing signs on the one that is disconnected, is this a normal thing for this machine greg?

    Thanks for your responses guys.

Thats the one, re attach/replace spade and test. Should be fine.

    Hi
Without doing any checks myself, it sounds like the PCB (situated in top of fascia) part number 263782, around the £100 mark and will need Vat and p&p added. Use link below to locate.

    Hi
The NTC operating range is between –5 °C and 103 °C. If the NTC value is outside the operating range (e.g. interruption or short-circuit), the programme continues cold without an error display. The test programme displays “NTC short circuit” or “NTC interruption”. The NTC is inserted into the heating flange and is sealed with the heater seal. The NTC can be removed after desconnecting the heater. Temperature in °C
    Resistance in kΩ
    10 – 8.5–10.6
    20 – 5.4–6.5
    30 – 3.5–4.3
    40 – 3–2.9
    50 – 1.5–1.9
    60 – 1.1–1.3
    66 – 0.9–1.1
    86 – 0.45–0.55

    Hope that helps

    Greg

PS – NTC part number is 170961

The NTC on top of the heater is a limiter. @ 25 deg should read between 18k-22k ohms and at 60 deg 4.5k – 5.5k ohms. What was original fault??
