Wire broken in door NEVER in this new breed of bosch.
He did say microswitch DOESNT activate which would indicate insufficient water circulation / blockage; back to you Chris.Greg

Try cleaning 12 inch ribbed tube from pressure unit to sump. Never had this cause a heat fault though 😕

A popular fault is where the uplift dual tubes detach. Located internally at rear of filter area; is just a push fit but can become loose over a period.

hotshot wrote:I have taken the module out and examined it. It does look like the HEW is the output to the heater. This output comes from directly from the contacts of a relay in the module. I have checked the continuity at the relay terminals (with the heater lead connected) and it is fine. I suspect the relay is faulty, i.e. it is failing to switch correctly (most of the time). There is a suspicious rattling noise from the vicinity of the relay when you shake the module.
By the way, I don’t see how the module can detect a faulty relay because there are no current sensing components between the relay terminals and the edge connector of the module.
I think dented porsche sussed this in his last post 😉

F8. Water level failure

If there is insufficient water in appliance then the microswitch will not activate; thats the safety aspect of it. Its a fill level problem you have; the heating is merely a bi-product. A faulty membrane (never seen one fail) which drives microswitch a possibility.

After it ran cold last night, I waggled a few control board connectors and it worked OK again after that. I suspect a dodgy connection somewhere
I still have me money on poor connection.

ParticipantRe: CYCLE INCOMPLETE
There will be a noticible delay between a sequence of flashes. At the start of that sequence count the number of flashes before the long delay. The number you count will refer to a particular fault.
My guess seeing as it stops before rinses is possibly one of the cold fill solenoids has failed.Greg

When you say dead, could you please say excatly what is seen and heard please?
The biggest problem was gunge blocking up matrix tank and causing anti flood unit on fill valve to activate. If you make the room quiet and put your ear to the casing and see if you can hear a low hum.
