Haven’t seen one of these for a while now. But if memory serves if the base floods on these old ones the pump doesn’t run constantly (like the newer ones) but stops timer motor running.

Also have had faulty anti flood s/w in the past cause similar problem.

Nice one, forgot about that one 😳

Re: Disconnect / connect gas cooker

Legally you can un couple (flexi hose not hard pipe) your existing cooker to allow cleaning, decorating behind, but not a new appliance because it has to be commissioned and may have a fault which you may not pick up on.

Oh no it doesnt. Mechanical timer and selector pcb only none electronic.
Totally dead light on? Possible inlet solenoid in aquastop unit failed or broken wires in door loom.

You can measure solenoid resistance. In base you will see a 2 core cable coming from rear in centre. 1 wire goes to float microswitch other to drain pump. Usual readings. Loom breaks usually around lower door on pivot of door and chassis; unwrap plastic wadding and look carefully.

You may have LPG jets fitted on a Natural Gas hob. As Dave said the Corgi installer would have commissioned the hob and checked for any problems. Refer back to him for help etc.

In past experience I would check for earth leakage especially from heater like Martin said . Failing that most probably timer/module fault.

    timer/module – p/no – 261037 £109.00 + Vat retail no idea on trade price

Have you checked pins on plugtop for signs of damage?
Failing that its engineer time try repairs@
