    Resolved.
    No need of new parts. Root cause was a Broken green TX wire between door clock display board and main controller board. Broken somewhere in the left hand door. Fixed by drilling through door edge to dispenser/clock pcb area and routing a new wire around outside edge of door in plastic conduit.

    No takers?
    Other things to note :-

    • the small clock display in the left hand door is dead, as are the clock buttons;
    • the internal freezer fan never comes on.

    Have discovered this fridge freezer model is actually entirely made by Haier.
    Have found the main control board located on the top of the fridge freezer. Detached and examined on bench – no obvious scorching or bulging of electrolytics.
    Have detached and examined the clock display board within the door water dispenser.

    Have now ordered both boards replacements from Rangemaster Spares – arriving by Tuesday. Will update the post here either way once fitted.
