Re: Miele novotronic premier500 removing pcb

Hi Seamy I’ve finally got round to pulling out the P.C.B today. Unfortunately it’s nothing like the one I have been looking at on eBay. There is another one however from another seller which is suitable. He’s looking £57 for it with no guarantee. If I was 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} sure it was definitely the P.C.B at fault, I would take a chance on it, but I would like an engineer to look at the machine, and tell me for sure. Ive done all the simple checks myself, but I think it’s time now to call in a pro. Having said that, I’d be confident enough now to fit the board myself, if it comes to that. So I would only need pay for his diagnose. I’ll keep you posted on the outcome

Hi Seamy thanks again for your reply, you don’t know how frustrating I was getting trying to work out what was holding this in place, not to mention hours lost . I will start again tomorrow, following your instructions. I actually phoned an engineer last night, and explained the situation. He said he thought it was the PCB too. Didn’t seemed that interested though and said it was a very expensive part, and I would have to get it from Miele as nobody here in N.Ireland carries their parts. I’ve seen a refurbished board on eBay for £34 which I might take a chance on. It’s description just says its for a Miele premier 500 but dosnt give a model number, so I’m not sure if it’s compatabile with machine. Am I right in saying there is a lot of different versions of this appliance? Also Seamy are you a Miele specialis? You have a very good knowledge of their machines.
Thanks again for all your help thus far. I know where to come to now if I have anyone questions

    Regards Maurice

    Re: Miele novotronic premier 500

Many thanks Seamy for your prompt reply. I’ve very limited knowledge of washing machines, and if it wasn’t for the Internet , I wouldn’t even havnt gotten as far as I have in trying to diagnose the fault. I mean I couldn’t even have been able to work out how to take the front of the machine off, if it hadn’t been for YouTube. Any how I’m convined that all the hoses are free from obstruction, and that the carbon brushes are still good. When it comes to the P.C.B however, that’s when I have to call it quits and send for a washing machine engineer. Hopefully they will be able to tell exactly what’s wrong, then I’ll have to decide if it’s worth spending a lot of money on. Once again thanks for taking the time, to help out a stranger.

    Regards Maurice
