Scratch that, placed the element back in place, screwed it in. Put the plug in and it tripped again before turning the dryer on.

    Hi Dave,

Took the rear cover off, as I did an amount of water poured out.

Took a look at the element. Nothing touching it or anything that I would think was obstructing. Wires all look ok and are connected securely.

Put a meter across the element from one end to the other no breaks.

Oddly though while the back was off and I’d checked the element I plugged the dryer in and it didn’t trip and powered up. So I’m not sure if its fixed?

Do you think it could have been the water inside, though I doubt it was enough to reach the element etc?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks so much for the swift response.

Opened it up, took the two outer wires off the suppressor (not the ones connected to the main plug). Left the two inner connectors on.

Plugged the dryer back into the socket.

    It did not trip.

I guess that means its not the suppressor?

    Thanks again for your help!
