I had a look at cutting part of the tabs off but was concerned there wouldn’t be enough left to hold it in place.

Decided to cut a small section off the sloping back end to about 2/3 the way up – this sits pretty flush with the drum rim so can’t see clothes getting caught. Anyhow clipped into place nicely.

Thanks for the suggestion Bazza – gave me the confidence to sort it out myself.
