I had a problem withone of these machines, where ALL lights on the front panel were flashing and no program could be selected, I took theboard out and noticed a 680uf 10V 105c capacitor blown on the main board, 30 pence for a replacement and an easy repair for DIY, 6 mths later machine going strong. Initial cheap components on board, typical mass production.

I had a similar problem with one of these, and the problem WAS the PCB, it was actually the capacitor on the PCB that had a broken leg, I replaced the Capacitor, and PRESTO. Still going strong after 7 mths.

    Re: Hotpoint TDC30P Wiring problem.

I know its not a great idea to use trial and error, but I had no alternative, I could not afford an engineer to call out, especially when so much info is available on this forum, the way I see it the machine was knackered so what did I have to loose. The machine is working the best now.
