You are are spot on, and have saved me what would have probably been a couple of hundred dollars….Cheers!

Tested voltage to water valves…Appeared to be none
Tested resistance of valves…60 ohms…probably OK
Pulled out the motor control PCB and gave it a wipe and more importantly reseated the wiring harness that goes to the valves….

Put it all back together…turn it on…..and nothing happens.
Then remembererd to turn on the taps!

Bingo..It works again….Thanks again for the pointers.

p.s. Also sent an email to F+P customer service requesting advice….
