The motor i purchased looked identical to the original, ” MAIN MOTOR (SINGLE PHASE) Part Number: 1604492 1400RPM ” I purchased it from http://www.hotpoint-spares.co.uk (there was only one listed for the WD440 )

The serial No of my machine is 0662 WD440P 41167343

The odd thing is, i tried putting the old motor back on the machine, yes, it was noisy, but the error code still came up & machine stoped ?

The new motor has cost me £112

Does this mean i’m best to return the new motor ( still under 7 days ) & get hotpoint out…. i think the machine is about 3-4 years old ?
