I can get a new motor and capacitor for about £75.

If it’s not the motor/pump would I need to be testing anything else, given my first post of symptoms?

    Thanks for the reply.

Visually the motor looks fine, apart from a grey, metally/powder residue that is on the inside of the white pipe housing. It looks like it may have emanated from the spindle?

It’s 6yrs old now, used daily. Would it be more cost effective to replace c/w capacitor?

Would you say the symptoms I have given would also point to the motor/capacitor?

I’ve took the motor out. The spindle turns if i use screw driver at the end of the spindle.

Is there a way can test the motor and capacitor?

    Ta.
