Hi
I’ve found this 45.8cm wide WHIRLPOOL FREEZER AFB126 H AL http://swandomestic.co.uk/index.php?mai … cts_id=466
This would be ideal, but I’m a bit wary. The site’s FAQ mentions contact by telephone and a Customer Care Team, but there are no details given on the site.
Any experiences with this company?
I haven’t found this model for sale anywhere else.

Hi Don
Thanks for that. I also found a Lec U5026W at 48cm wide.
Unfortunately too wide for the current space. Parents in Law placed the current freezer in the boiler cupboard because at the time that was the only place it could go. All other appliances were integrated from new.
Replacing with a fridge/freezer means losing a cupboard and bench space – kitchen is too small to do this.
So they have decided to have this cupboard made slightly bigger which is costly and messy.
I thought I may be able to find them the freezer they need and save them the hassle.
I’ve sent a query to Zanussi, but don’t hold out much hope.
Thanks for trying – much appreciated.

Thanks Jim.
Don – there seem to be two slightly different models. One with the E and one without.
I’ve seen the S54E53 at Currys – 5 programmes 4 Temps.
I’ve only seen the S5453 online – 4 programmes 3 Temps. All other features seem much the same.
Many thanks.

Thanks all for the advice.
don – the reference to hot and cold water fill is on the Comet website in a list of other features for the Indesit DIF04. The explanation of hot or cold fill makes much more sense and probably that is what should have been written.
Many thanks again

Thanks kwatt. So, that’s stay clear of all Indesits?
I was swayed towards the Whirlpool thinking that if the performance was half as good as the Diplomat I’d be well chuffed. Cosmetically it looks the same machine, but component-wise it’s different and so I must assume the performance may be different. Is that about right?
don – thank you for the advice. Your Lady must have seen her old Diplomat in Currys and had the same daft thought as me!! Yes, the Indesit is cheap at £206, although some are selling it for nigh on £400. I suppose a case of if it looks too good to be true etc etc.
May I just ask a general question? The Diplomat was a cold-water fill machine and that’s the only supply to where the new machine will stand. I’ve noticed some Dishwashers now say they are hot and cold fill. Do I need to stay clear of these as they need the hot water to perform correctly?
