    Re: Won’t fill OR Drain

    All done.

Used EMW for the rebuild to the PCB. Obvious Traic blown on that. Big hole in it!

Didn’t find any leaks from the soap fill hoses… but… when I first switched on it spewed water out of the draw… turns out there was a blockage of solid soap suds in the tube…

all clear now… first load is on…

I don’t have to go to work dressed like a tramp on Monday !

    Thanks guys / gals

Peel back the door seal and you will see the offending hose directly above the pump. A classic piece of Italian a design. :rolls:

    That’s a thought.

Is the 222 ohms across the pump normal?…

It just occured that if it’s not then plugging it into a new PCB might instantly fry the new one.

    hahahah….

Alpha Romeo springs to mind… Worked on a an Alpha Sud once for a friend… looked nice… seems that’s about it though as far as the design input went.

I will replace the PCB, seal the pipe, and hope the pump motor is ok.

Many thanks for your help so far.

    Keep you posted.

    Thanks for the input.

iadom wrote:The leak is not a big one but I would be examining that connector plug very closely. They often burn across the contacts and if that has happened then it will certainly have taken out the pcb.

    well there we go…

Must be the PCB. The connector was toast !

you think the pump is still ok?

222 ohms across the pump. no sign of a leak… but the connectiosn are filthy !!.. will clean them up and see if we get any action…

These Candy machines are prone to leaks from the detergent inlet hose dropping down onto the drain pump which shorts out and 99{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time takes out the pcb. 🙁

    Will do.

When i looked the other day I couldn’t see any visible issues. Will check again.
