The pump isn’t jammed, it’s making a loud screeching noise and takes a few seconds to achieve full speed.

UPDATE
As suggested I plugged and unplugged the lead to the flow sensor on the valve a few times. I then tested the machine and the fault had become intermittent rather than permanent.
I took a close look at the connections and they appeared to be very dull/slightly corroded so I cave them a gentle clean. (I’m an IT tech so I have suitable tools).
And hey presto it’s fixed.

Thanks for that Dave, I hadn’t realised that there was a flow sensor in the valve. I will disc/reconnect the lead as you suggest.
