Specialist thanks for your post above, unfortunately as i wasnt going to be home for a few days i ordered a new pump anyway in the hope a new pump would be all thats required.

Unfortunately from fitting the new pump this evening it is still not working, i have optically checked the connections which seem ok, problem being i dont have a multimeter so need to go and buy one tomorrow to test it.

If PCB is knackered what would you suggest? as i dont want to keep throwing money and time at the problem if you think better off just scrapping it and getting a new one washing machine.

also as a result of buying a new pump i have another one for sale if anyone wants it 🙂
