Re: Miele Novotronic W827 not spinning at cycle end

Thanks for all your ideas – it is now finally working once more. It turned out to be that the little pressure vessel was blocked by a bit of scale/lint, which I eventually managed to remove and clean with the pressure washer. There wasn’t a lot, but I think that it was sufficient to alter the pressure seen by the level sensing switches.

Getting at the pressure vessel was another matter though, and eventually I removed the bottom half of the door seal, through which I was able to get a ratchet spanner to reach the single bolt holding it on to the drum housing.

Was very impressed with the general construction of the machine, (almost) a pleasure to work on!

    Hi

I too have a Miele Novotronic of similar vintage, and it does exactly what you describe. The light indicates a problem with the water supply or outlet. Have checked all filters, and have spent time cleaning out the hoses (internal and external) in the outlet, as these were full of limescale. There’s also that odd moulding at the back that sends the outlet to the top of hte machine and then back down again before it reaches the outlet port. Not sure what the small bore pipe is from the top of this to the detergent moulding – is it some sort of grey water circulation system or a vent?

Am completely confused – can only think it is a sensor problem, as there doesn’t seem to be anythign fundamental wrong with the machine. Next job is to try to check that the pressure switch inlet isn’t blocked!

Have you managed to sort yours old, am finding this very frustrating!

    Thanks
