    Thanks Seamy,

I will check the syphon as you suggest.

The conditioner sits there undiluted at the end of the cycle, which suggest to me that the water isn’t getting to the drawer. If that is the case, is there a solenoid valve that controls the water feed to the dispenser? and if so, where would it be located?

    many thanks for your help,

    regards,

    Ike

    Jackal,

Thanks for the advice, the hose to the pressure switch had fretted through leaving a pinhole. BTW, another problem it has is that it does not take the fabric conditioner from the soap drawer- any idea why?

    many thanks again,

    Ike

Thanks for the advise. I’ll check the switch first. I’m competent to take the machine apart as I had previously fitted new drum bearings.

I set program D and it fills as normal then starts the wash. Later in the cycle the water level increases (rinse?). And then it overflows.

Liebherr = Rolls Royce of refridgeration 😉

Re: Just ordered a new Liebherr – any good?

i’ve ordered a standard one not frost free.

A good choice. 😉 Simple and ‘engineered’ by Germans. It will more likely than not have a long troublefree life. Liebherrs are generously insulated so an A, A+ rating is a nice bonus.

    Re: SMEG or Miele?

I think Smeg brand ‘quality’ is maintained by nothing more than marketing bs. Smeg don’t even make anything themselves. The overall build quality is dubious, although I think they use Danfoss compressors. Don’t mix Smeg with Miele.

If you want the best engineering and reliability it’s Miele or Liebherr. Miele refridgeration are made for them by Liebherr. Miele IMO have the edge on style. Liebherr are slightly cheaper with less bling (I particularly liked the stainless models), but every bit as good functionally (check their unique handle design that overcomes vacuum effect). Under the skin, the models are almost like for like.

I bought the CTPES3213 – simple but effective and it looks gorgeous. The stainless cladding is high quality and very well finished – as good as it can get.

Re: where can I physically see a CDA oven?

For anyone else interested in CDA,

Kutchenhaus Kitchens (they are near the new ski slope in Manchester) show manu CDA ovens, mostly built-ins but also the PZ10 range cooker.

Thanks Greg, they seem to get a thumbs up from most people here. Any thoughts on the CDA PZ7 cooker?

    cheers,
