Re: Hotpoint BWD20 Leaking at back of Drum

Ok I have filled the drum with water and left it standing, and no leaks, I have also span the drum by hand a few times and it appears not to be leaking… any thoughts?

Re: Hotpoint BWD20 Leaking at back of Drum

OK Guys I have put my comments into pictures hopefully for you expertas out there this will explaine everything..

The order is Explanation of pic then pic

The water runs along from above as earlier stated and drips off this metal bracket here.

The leak appears to be coming from here somewhere though I dont think its coming out of the heater it seems to me coming from a gap in between what looks like to be the back of the drum and the outer wall.

The Loose bolts were on the other side but identical posisions to this one (In the center of the pic) This is one and the one directly below it holding the counter weight on, It was leaking quite alot before i tightened the bolts and it seems to have slowed the leak by arounf 75 Persent which leads me to beleive that the friction has worn something..?

    Thanks for your help
