Well my friend just when I though the lord was looking after me,, the machine has worked super since the last message I posted, it sounded fine and my wife has done about 4/5 washes without any problems,, she used it last night with a full wash.
Now comes this morning and would you believe it wont wash at all. The drum doesn’t turn. I have taken the back off to check that the belt is on and the shaft turning freely, both are ok. The programmer seems to be working ok and seems to be going through the program as it normally does.. Am I just the most unlucky 63 year old on the planet, just when my wife was being so nice to me, its back to normal grunting and groaning ad suggesting its my fault.

    HELP ME BOYS PLEASE..

Well my friend everything is working fine,, I’ve just hung a line full of washing out for drying on this beautiful day.

I am amazed that you are all so helpful particularly in this day and age when there is nothing in it for you. I realise you are selling spares but this web site must take a fair bit of your time up.

It must be like pulling teeth explaining to people of my age (63) what might be wrong and how to take things apart and fix them.

Is it run by a company or a co-operative or do you all do it as a hobby,, whatever it is fantastic… THANK YOU AGAIN.

Well my friends JOB DONE,, I am so chuffed I could kiss you all 😳 only joking.

The only thing I have to do now is to get up bright and early connect it back up and try it, and hope to goodness there are no leaks.

God I hope its ok,,, I couldn’t have done it without your help, you have been fantastic.

I’ve even hoovered up all the dog hairs underneath, my wife sends her thanks, you never know I might get a promise tonight 😆 😆 😆

Re: noisy spinning blomberg 1501 aaa washing machine

😆 Casting off,, is there any easy way of getting the old seal out or can I just cut it to get it out. Now it seems like it is the big bearing thats noisy , the small one seems ok but I suppose it would be sensible to change both,,is it ok for me to clout the small bearing and the big one to get them out. The shaft looks ok, but should I clean it and lubricate it..

This going much better than I expected,, I’m gonna buy you blokes a drink if this washer works again 😮

Should I put any grease or lubricant on the shaft when I put the new bearings in/

    Hello my friend.

Bolt out,, Spider off, I have used a stout drift to clout the centre shaft,, it has gone in about half the width of the bearing but then seems solid.Do I keep carefully strikng the shaft to get it further in?/

There is a very heavy cast frame around the bearing which is fastened by about 8 bolts do I need to take that off.

I have started the job,, at least I have taken the back off,, now is the bolt that secures the spider left hand or right hand thread,,, do I undo it by turning it left or right.
    thanks

Re: noisy spinning blomberg 1501 aaa washing machine

    hello again Penguin45.

I have received the replacement bearing kit for my Blomberg 1501 thanks to Dave, excellent service.

My wife is giving me stick so I need to get started before I start could you just clarify for me please, after I take off the spider and hopefully pull out the bearing, will the rubber seal and large bearing be visible and will I be able to get to them off to change them or will I have to take out the drum somehow..

I did go to the web site you gave me for further advise but although it was useful it didn’t really make it too clear about the Blomberg.
    thanks

Re: noisy spinning blomberg 1501 aaa washing machine

That info was really useful thanks,

The part number you have suggested is slightly different to the part number emailed back to me from your spares web site enquiry which I made before posting my question on the forum.
The number quoted was BR05101,,, the number quoted on the forum was BR05100.

Re: noisy spinning blomberg 1501 aaa washing machine

Thanks for the reply,, is there anywhere I can get any drawings or sketches/instructions on how to tackle this job. I have done one before some years ago but I seem to remember I had to knock up a puller, and of course I was a lot younger then 😆 .

Is it a case of carefully thumping it out using the drift, and whats the significants in using a copper faced hammer??
