Thank you, I will pull out the two PCB’s from the rear bottom right and inspect them first.

    Re: The ‘Reason’ Washing Machine

After a week, waiting for Andrew Reason to answer one simple question,
i can tell you i have heard nothing!!!! From my experience this machine will probably fail for a number of reasons!
His machine offers little now five years on, that cannot be found on other high end machines.Auto dosing, weighing load, using only the correct amount of detergent and water, all done and nothing new!
The ballast of 28 ltrs is a good idea, but there is more than 1 centre of gravity in the machine.Does the 2nd bearing at the front remove all vibration? NO IT DOES NOT. My 6350 has a concrete yoke and is stable, infact more stable than brand new machines that bang about when starting to spin. Also you cannot put anything in front of his machine!
Just picked up a top miele commercial with enough spares to probably make if last 3 decades.
My lavamat 6350 is 20 yrs old(1 spider,2 bearings and seals,on 2nd motor,4 bushes, 2nd drain pump just now & 2nd heating element). It is working superbly eg; 40 deg full load 62 litres, 0.5KW and 60mins, not bad for a 20 yr old.

Thank you for your reply Kwatt.
I too would love to see this machine succeed and the bonus of being built well and built in the UK with employment for dozens locally.

I too can see there is not enough profit in it at the reduced £599.
The valuation of a £1200 shop floor retail price would be high end. However i am of the opinion that this machine needs to be out quickly or it will miss out entirely. A new range of machines is being developed that do not reqire any detergent at all!

    Re: The ‘Reason’ Washing Machine

    Hello everyone.
Let me tell you what I know about the Reason Washing Machine.

Firstly it appeared in 2009 and it is still not available to the public!
You can get one late 2014 for £779 or last week of Jan 2015 for £599 the website states.
The website clearly states that production machines will have a plastic drum and not the stainless steel shown in the pre production models in the videos.

I contacted Andrew Reason and asked if i could buy one with a stainless steel drum and not plastic. To which i received a reply saying that he never said the drums would be plastic! I copied the piece on the website stating the opposite to him and have yet to receive a reply !!!
I asked a simple question and have been ignored, and this is prior to purchase. I would urge noone to part with any money at all untill the machine sees the light of day in a finished/finalised state and reliability is proven including customer service.
