    Re: OVEN SHUTTING DOWN INTERMITTENTLY

➡ This component is in numerous AEG/Electorolux Ovens.
It is not a thermal cutout just a substanddard Thermostat which operates the cooling fan for the external surfaces. If you cant feel a draught in front of the oven the fan is not operating, then the thermal cut out shuts down the oven. Penguin 45 assures me this is very rare!!!
Check the forum it happens a lot. LeaveAEG/Electrolux on the shelf poor quality control. The stat seems to last about 18 months.

Re: AEG/Electrolux Cooling Fan Initiation Thermostats

If 2 moderators can’t agree that:-
    1. Safety devices are reliable ?

I say again leave AEG/Electrolux on the shelf until the manufacturers accept their responsibility for a sub-standard component which they must be selling by the thousands at close to 20-00 pound a shot . In the same time I have had to replace the oven bulb I have had to replace this component. If AEG/Electolux accept their responsibility they would have improved this component long ago.

    Service Force quids in!!

    Re: Electrolux oven cutting out

Have had exactly the same fault on AEG Competence Oven (AEG now part of Electrolux or vice versa) after less than 2 years operation. Cost me 93-00 pounds via Service Force to replace Fan Initiation Thermostat which controls the cooling fan for the outside surfaces. I am guessing Electrolux Ovens will have similiar circuits. Customer Services assure me there isn’t a design fault ha! ha!
