    We also have a dyson contrarotator which had faulty bearings, i had been advised previously by a dyson engineer that the repair was a full new tub and drum assembly as bearings are not “field replaceable”, something to do with the torque setting on the bolts. your best bet is to phone dyson and pay the £85 fixed fee repair, if you have looked after your machine they may fix it for a reduced cost as agoodwill gesture, ours was free as the bearings went after 2200 cycles and 4.5 years.
    it took 2 engineers 2 hours to change the bearings, machine in its component parts on the patio.
