😥 The repacement stat from Coolfreeze of Northampton arrived this am. They have supplied the wrong one. Someone cannot read the difference between RAN54 and VC1; and there is only an answering machine. Have you ever had that sinking feeling…………………?

Does anyone know of a reliable supplier of a Ranco K54 stat?

Kevin – hello.
The freezer has a ‘fast freeze’ button. When this is pressed the freezer runs and within an hour or so the thermometer will get down to c-18. With the ‘fast freeze’ released the temp gradually rises and we could smell ‘cheesy feet’. (We lost a lot of food). I took out the thermostat and there was no continuity between the live terminal (brown) and either of the other two terminals ( black x2, and blue x1) at room temperature. I have ordered a new ‘stat and am keeping my fingers crossed. Any thoughts will be welcomed.
