I just want something that is reliable, low maintenance and doesn’t need to have all the latest and greatest bells and whistles.

    Hi,
Unfortunately the sticker with the model number has been rubbed off. It uses a couple of rails to attach the door to the fridge doors to slide along. Hope that helps.

    Update:

So the heater element and the motor were replaced yesterday. So far, four cycles have been run without any issues. Luckily, the engineer had two spare motors as the first one he fitted made a strange sound just before turning the drum so he replaced it with another new unit.

Hopefully, this will put and end to the drama otherwise it was either order a new loom or ask for a new machine. Thanks everyone for your help.

By heater, I assume you mean the heating element at the top of the drum? Hmmm, the symptoms I experience are, either the programme fails to start because the machine thinks the door is still open or at the end of the laundry washing cycle. Do you still think it could be related?

If it helps, rather than the usual two clicks, I get 5 clicks, followed by two and sometimes another 5 followed by another two. It may or may not start a cycle at that point. Also, if a cycle completes without problems, if I don’t open the door and try a new wash cycle it continues to work normally.

    Update:
Hoover engineer came around on Friday and after attaching a digital multimeter of some sort to the earth and live terminals on the washing machine plug he replaced the door lock switch, the auto dosing and another module found in the rear of the machine. Sadly, the E07 is still there?

At this point the only thing I can think for the intermittent issue with E07 or program not starting might be the wiring loom? Thoughts?

Apologies if I have bored you to death by now. So far, I’ve noticed that if the machine is working it continues to work by starting the cycle and releasing the lock without any errors if it isn’t power cycled. If the error does occurr, then power cycling gets it going again. I still do sometimes get the several clicks but the door does release on other occcassions it just opens after a couple of clicks.

Not sure if that helps in narrowing down where the issue might be. I’ve got an exam I am studing for this week so won’t be able to test the insulation leakage until next week but wanted some more instructions on how to pefrom the testing.

I have a volt meter, is this something I can check with the appliance unplugged or best left to a service engineer though without generalising, I’m not impressed with the engineers who have been around to date.

Prior to installing the new part, the washing machine has been working perfectly.

I installed the replacement door lock this morning and the E07 is back and needs to be power cycled to start a wash cycle.

Upon running the check within the app it shows 43025472 on the front display followed by E07.

Any idea what that might mean?

I’ve had to power cycle it to get another wash cycle started.

Ran another few loads since, all came out fine. Just the several clicks at the end of a cycle where it stays on 01 minutes remaning for a while and then throws E07. I’m tempted to buy the replacement part DK514 but wanted to know if the problem may lie elsewhere?

Thank you both for your input. I’ve gone through both links shared by Dave regarding autodosing and load sizes. Unfortunately there just isn’t space for two separate appliances and the dryer option doesn’t get used much unless there is bad weather or urgency.

Update: I ran another load last night on the cottons option and it came out smelling freshly laundered, though I did use the aquaplus option.

I’m curious to know what may be causing the door lock to fail and throw E07? For past few weeks, I have had to work around it by powering off from mains so it resets the machine and then start a new cycle. Could it be water ingress or is this part known to fail?

Do you think it’s worth asking Hoover to replace the loom andor lock one last time?
