Thanks Guys! The belt has snapped & wrapped itself round the motor/fan spindle & was smacking on everything as it span round!

Really appreciate your replies and help!

    Have a good day 🙂

    Hi Dave,

Before taking the machine apart, Ive looked up on line & see that the tensioner if failed would make a squealing noise. The noise im getting is very similar to: Remember in the old days a car fan would sometimes catch the radiator & make a fast loud knocking nice. This is what I’m getting.

I just wonder if you think of anything that can make that type of noise, excepting the motor fan blades hitting on something?

    Much appreciated!

I assume you have no leaks anywhere. Even a drip in the wrong place can cause this

Have you tried a different socket. If the socket was faulty its more likely to cause problems when a high current is being pulled ie when the heater switches on

    Thanks for coming back Dave.

All checked and dry. I’ve just put on a wash cycle using a different socket & praying! Am confused though as to why it ran a cycle after I replaced the element last night, but today it blew again?

Will update how it goes. If it still trips the RCD on another circuit, what then do you suggest?

    Tanks again,

    Jase.
