Hello guys,
Just wanted to give an update.
Mate of mine who is familiar with Fridge Freezers and quite technically minded came and had a good look at the gasket in person and he said that it was “fine;” straightening the gasket did the trick and there is nothing more to worry about as it is doing its job the way it should.
I was happy and relieved for my mum more than anything else 🙂
*By the way, the faulty Liebherr I bought from AO, they didn’t have any more Liebherrs in stock. I know AO are normally a reputable company and quite popular – the Liebherr Fridge Freezer was the first time I bought anything from them – I don’t know if this was due to current circumstances (Covid) and the fact that there has been an exceptionally high demand for Fridge Freezers, but I found the customer service provided by their staff, even something as simple as confirmation of stock availability, quite poor. Due to current times, don’t want to judge them too harshly. But just wanted to mention that for other peoples reference.

Kwatt, yourself and other members are a lot more knowledgeable in this area than me. So I’d appreciate input from as many as possible.
Looking at all the above and my opening post regarding the hinge side of the Door Gasket, does this look like an actual fault with the Gasket and the way it has been fitted and if this Gasket remains as it is, could it become a problem in the futureand cause damage to the Fridge Freezer by letting in air and messing about with the way the Fridge Freezer functions AND we need to get Currys or Samsung involved?
OR
Do you belive by the fact that I adjusted the gasket slightly by pushing it in, that has resolved any existing or future problems and moving forward there is nothing to worry about?
*My mum who is elderly and disabled is getting really stressed out over this, especially as only recently she had to return a brand new Fridge Freezer that turned out to be faulty and she just wants a working Fridge Freezer so she can have some peace of mind. As you know, Covid-19 has made lot of elderly people anxious and nervous generally.
Sorry for being a nuisance and me needing to be spoon fed a bit, as I’m clueless about these things and I hope you will understand under the cicumstances and will tolerate me.

Thank you for your reply Kwatt.
Before I saw your reply, spoke to someone who said that this was just a case of the Gasket not being pushed in properly at the factory….and I should gently use something blunt and thin and push that part in.
I did that, and the attached URL uploaded pictures will show you what it looks like now:

As you go further down away from the top, from same angle on inside of the door, the gasket is right against the door, no gaps and is flush.
