Re: Intermittent fault with Parkinson Cowan stove

I know that I need a Corgi engineer to sort the problem out.

What I was hoping for was some clue as to the likely cause / size of the repair bill, before calling out an engineer, in order to decide whether to have the unit repaired or to replace it.

Re: Hotpoint Mistral Plus FF compressor running constantly

Thanks for the reply. In answer to your questions:

    – room temperature is normal
    – we have not put any new (unfrozen) food in the FF for some time
    – both doors are correctly closed
    – FF has been running, and displaying this problem, for at least two weeks

I would welcome any further ideas.

Re: Hotpoint Mistral Plus FF compressor running constantly

    Hi Simon:

Yes, I vacuumed the fluff before replacing the thermistors.

The freezer is at a steady -23, which is somewhat lower than the -19 figure that I noticed before the temp problem / replacement of the thermistors.

The fridge is at +4, i.e. exactly on set-point.

Sorry – I should have stated that it is the compressor that is running constantly (or at least 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} of the time )
