Re: Neff (K4513X0GB) Integrated fridge broken down, Please H

Thanks Spimps I appreciate the quick response Yes I have an ordinary multimeter would this do the trick? Or I have a fluke meter. Also It appears that the thermostat is under the rotary dial which incorporates the on/off switch I assume this is easy enough to dis-asemble? Strange but the bulb blew in the fridge the other day. Mmm I wonder if there could have been a knock on effect of the thermo going as well. Probably just coincidence. There are 3 wires I’ll check tomorrow morning. Thanks again. Any further advice appreciated….

Re: Lec Elan mdl EL654AW stooped working how do I remove cas

Simon I put the hot water in the fridge as directed and when I went out later the back panel of the fridge was very cold. I believe the fridge must have come on whilst I was in the house. Does this mean that the thermostat is okay…or is there any other tests I can perform….any advice appreciated…thanks john.

Re: Lec Elan mdl EL654AW stooped working how do I remove cas

Thanks simon I’ll give this a try appreciated. Still trying to find out how to remove the part of the casing that contains the thermostat. I had an old Lec fridge with an icebox and it was a workhorse woould work regardless of temperature etc. But it kicked the bucket and I was given this fridge from a friend. I was assured it worked…but everytime I go into it it never appears very cold and I don’t here it kicking in. Maybe your hot water trick will confirm any problems. There does not appear to be too many parts associated with this type of fridge…still heres hoping.. thanks JD
