Re: Possible pcb problem in Hoover HNMF2805A80 fridge/freeze

Just wanted to say a massive thank you for your help. Put the fridge/freezer back together and switched it back on yesterday. Just put a bowl of water inside over night and this morning it was not frozen! Haven’t filled it up just yet as going to monitor it today, but fingers crossed problem’s solved.

Re: Possible pcb problem in Hoover HNMF2805A80 fridge/freeze

Spot on! Took some digging, but there it was approx 4 inches in, 8 inches down! Thank you so much for your help – without it I would have probably gone looking down the right hand side and destroyed the entire back of the fridge! I haven’t fitted the new one yet – I have one further question – would it be acceptable to use a couple of connectors to attach the new sensor as opposed to soldering the cables together?

    Many thanks

    Hi Cras,

Many thanks for your reply. The fridge/freezer does switch off when the temp knob is turned to the off position. I guess we’re just going to have to take the plunge and cut away the insulation at the back to replace the sensor! Don’t suppose you can provide any advice on where I can locate the sensor/where to cut? Someone suggested that there was some sort of kit/template available(?), but I didn’t know where to find this.

    Many thanks.

Re: Replacing temp sensor in Hoover HNMF2805A80 fridge/freez

    Hi spimps,

Thanks for your response. Do you mean that if I buy the temperature sensor it should be supplied with the dimensions of where to cut? Or does this come with some other kit? I emailed the UK Whitegoods help regarding the temperature sensor and whether it would come with guidance on how to locate the sensor and they replied saying Hoover won’t supply this information.

    Many thanks
