I had this problem
indeed ordering new brushes fixed the problem
if you do the work you can turn the machine upside down and replace them
however you will need a star screwdriver not philips, and when you receive the brushes they will have to be poked out manually as they come stuck inside….
what a mission but saved myself £80 callout and labour
