    Ha!
Well, I’ve done all of the above but no obvious fault found. Now, for some reason it’s working again. This follows laying the m/c on it’s back for a final nose around before lobbing it -I don’t know if that did anything. Regardless, when it stops next time, its old and it gets replaced – it’s already almost cost me one relationship. Then again…I started another. 😉 Many thanks, over and out.

Hi Penguin45 again, i’m back on it! Well I have an inlet valve resistance of 4kohms, so I’m afraid i’m stuck again. Also, I did remove a small plastic pipe entering the rear of the matrix about a third up (presumably from the tank) and that was dry so i guess i haven’t dismissed a tank filling problem – anything else that could be going on? Also, I notice, there is some water in the rearmost column of the matrix down towards the ‘sandbox’ (brown granular area) to a height of about 4 inches but it doesn’t move when the machine is switched on. Cheers again.

Hi Penguin45 again – i wimped out over the weekend but am back on it now. Before I possibly go barking up the wrong tree, can I check something with you? Whilst the rearmost column (about an inch wide and running down to the bottom of the matrix) has little water, the adjacent 4 columns (about 4 inches wide in total) are full. Have I identified the correct column that suggests the possible faulty inlet valve do you think? Thanks again!

You’re right – I don’t like it. I do appreciate your help though. “Something for the weekend” always meant something else in my younger days! I’ll let you know how I get on. Thanks again

Thanks again. The rear most column has very little water in it so I guess i need to check the inlet valve – can you advise on getting at it please

    Thanks for your reply.
I’ve checked the wiring loom and no fault found. The machine washed & drained when water added manually but then the programme didn’t advance again. Does that give you any further clues or do I check your other suggestions? Cheers
