Hi Samurai,
I think that I’ll replace the fridge now. Thank you very much for all the help you’ve given me to help me try to repair it – I appreciate it.
With kindest wishes,

Hi all,
I’ve replaced the thermostat and I’ve now tested the fridge for a few days. Unfortunately, the problem is still there i.e. I now have a lot of ice on the top six inches of the inside back wall of the fridge. Is there anything else that’s not too expensive to replace, or would I be better advised to just get a new fridge? I can pull the whole thing out and check the pipework at the back if it would help. (I checked the fan and it’s fine).
Thanks again for any help you can offer. Kind regards,
Jaime

Hello again.
I’ve received the new thermostat in the post and I’ve noticed that its phial/capillary is about 7 inches longer than on the old thermostat. Is this a problem?
Also, before I attempt to fit the new thermostat, does anyone know whether I should just feed it through the hole that the old capillary came out of, or is it recommended to remove some outer or inner panels to help guide the phial/capillary to its correct location?
Again, thank you for any help you can offer. With kind regards,
Jaime
