Re: Beko CDA648FS/1 Frost Free Fridge Freezer-Fridge is Froz

Well I used a data logger in the freezer to get the temp every 10 minutes.

The fridge never went above 2c, and the freezer ranged between -17.5 and -25.

They can be off for 12 hours which is what they are designed to do during power cuts before the temps become dangerous.

No need to be cocky about it 😉

New sensor fitted now, and it’s working. Huge word of warning for anyone attempting to do this, DO NOT use a naked flame for the heat shrink near the foam insulation, it is flammable and a test piece went up quick.

I found the fault, I’ve bought the sensor and found out how to replace it.

    Thanks for all your help.

Brilliant, Sounds like the problem I have with mine. Runs constantly and freezes everything up. I bought a plug timer to manually switch it off every 15 minutes.

I’ve ordered the part, £8.99 from eBay.

It’s the same item number, but different fridge model. I will report back on if it works.

So it’s as simple as cutting the wires, and soldering the red / blue wires from the new sensor?
