okay i feel a bit stupid but that has done the trick so i am a happy bunny.

the machine is 5 years old and i have only just moved in. Can you recommend any cleaning products you can run in the machine to keep the pipes nice and clear? I don’t think it has been very well looked after.

also i have pushed the non return valve back in. Does it matter which way round it goes? Obviously i don’t mean i put it in upside down 🙂

Yes its a D62. Just checked again.

It was purchased in holland so may not appear on the uk indesit site.

Will try and have a look in the base over the weekend.

Would this have caused the RCD to trip out on the fuseboard though?

The best question to ask is can this be done by myself or will i need to get an expert in to look at it – if not where can i find details for accessing the base of the machine?

Do these faults generally require the owner to scrap the dishwasher and buy a new one?

Can you gain access easily to the base of the dishwasher. I had a look last night and didn’t see an obvious way of getting access to it.
